Celebrating the Culture of San Mateo at Amiya Raya’s Kanayunan Festival

It was a sunny Saturday morning that greeted guests as they gathered at Kala Commons in Amiya Raya in San Mateo, Rizal for “Paintings & Panoramas’ The First Kanayunan and Art Festival. The event was a celebration of the arts, culture, and the people of San Mateo, set against the picturesque 270-degree unobstructed view of the Metro Manila skyline.

Not even the threat of Typhoon Betty could stop guests from gathering and enjoying the different activities and sampling the offerings at the different booths at the festival. Local entrepreneurs showcased their wares, many of which are homegrown businesses from around the area. Native kakanin and treats were being served up, made by artisanal food sellers from the area, for everyone to sample. Just the perfect midmorning snack before the main festivities began. As guests were going around, they were also treated to a special performance by the San Miguel 152 Band. It was a great way to discover all that San Mateo, Rizal had to offer not only to residents but to those looking to settle in the area.

One of the special activities at the Kanayunan Festival was a mural presentation by the young artists who are under the care and tutelage of the Angat San Mateo Community. Aside from sharing their story via a short video, they also did live painting sessions on-site during the day.

The program for the ‘Paintings & Panoramas” opened with welcome remarks from Community Creators, Incorporated President, and CEO Charina Garcia. She thanked everyone for heading out for a day with family, spent outdoors and close to nature. Hon. Bartolome “Omie” Rivera Jr, Mayor of San Mateo Rizal also shared an inspirational message, speaking of the beauty of his municipality, being that sweet spot between city living and the great outdoors right beside mega Quezon City and the City of Marikina. The head of the Municipal Tourism Office of San Mateo, Pia Dela Rosa-Manadero, shared with everyone all the fun and exciting family-forward activities that have become popular in the area.

“Paintings & Panoramas”, the first Amiya Raya Kanayunan and Art Festival, was made possible with the support of Community Creators Incorporated, in cooperation with the Local Government of San Mateo Rizal and the Municipal Tourism Office.

Amiya Raya breaks ground on the new Shanti Condominium

At the end of a long day, there is nothing better than coming home to a place where you can relax and breathe in fresh air.

Nestled in San Mateo, Rizal is Amiya Raya – a master-planned residential development that boasts a 270-degree unobstructed view of the Metro Manila skyline from 160 to 240 meters above sea level.  Located in the suburbs of Mega Quezon City, Amiya Raya is fused with its natural landscape, offering its homeowners a dream sanctuary, amidst cool weather and a pollution-free environment.  Breaking ground in the middle of this premiere community is Shanti Condominium – a vertical village that will allow its residents to experience true living amidst nature.

Inspired by the beautiful landscapes, calming seascapes, and enriching forest lands all around them, Community Creators, Inc. (CCI) drew their inspiration from the idea that God Himself is the first Developer – transforming the vast nothingness into the perfect natural world humanity has been blessed with. This is always the starting point when planning new developments. CCI saw this opportunity to be a transformer of land, a builder of homes, and a creator of sustainable communities as their privilege and life’s work. Not just for now, but also for generations of families to come.

Of all its developments, Amiya Raya is the largest in land area, with 567 units spread across an impressive 36 hectares. CCI envisioned it as a place where you can “invest in your dreams, and wake up every day seeing them all come true.” Situated in the burgeoning adventure hub that is Rizal province, it boasts a 270-degree panoramic view of Laguna De Bay, La Mesa Dam, Manila Bay, and nearby mountain ranges.  It is within these calming environs that Shanti Condominium will rise.

Named after the Hindu-Sanskrit term for peace, calmness, and bliss, Shanti will be built beside a soon-to-be-developed nature park. At only 11 floors with three basement levels, the mid-rise building offers a total of 148 units, and an average of 19 units per floor. Homeowners can choose between one-, two-, or three-bedroom units – perfect for whether you are starting on your own, or with a young family.

As part of CCI’s commitment to modern design, convenience, and comfort, each unit will have Smart Home features, as well as being telephone, cable, and internet ready. They even have provisions for backup power in case of any outages – one electric outlet, one lighting fixture, and one to keep the refrigerator running. Now that is a game-changer.

Since Shanti is surrounded by beautiful scenery all around, a spacious balcony allows you to take it all in while having your morning coffee, or nightly cocktail.

CCI formally broke ground on their newest development in San Mateo, Rizal recently. Partners, investors, property owners, and members of the press watched as CCI President and CEO Ma. Charina Garcia, Jose Dalida, and Engineer Angel Paterno from ECDC, Architect Rhon De Guzman from MET Architectural Design, Engineer Jinkyn Fortun from PRESCON and other partners lowered the symbolic time capsule into the ground. This marks the official start of the construction, which they project to be completed by the first quarter of 2027.

Residents and guests participated in the kite show at the top of Amiya Raya.

That same afternoon, Amiya Raya celebrated the month’s Kite Festival with the Kite Show At The Top, as part of its family-friendly weekend activities. Residents and guests were treated to a colorful kite-flying exhibition by the Kite Association Of The Philippines. The Pampanga-based group has organized special events such as the annual Hot Air Balloon Festival in Clark, Pampanga, and has represented the country in kite festivals around the world. With the weather conditions perfect for flight, kids were also taught how to properly launch their own kites.

What truly makes a difference in choosing Shanti and Amiya Raya to be your home is being able to step out into the great outdoors a mere few meters from your doorstep. Breathe in the fresh air and take a long walk with the whole family. Go on picnics or fly kites in the open grounds. Your own sanctuary is just 30 minutes from the big city. Now that is living the life.

CCI keeps to the highest of standards in all its developments. This aligns with their core belief that the families who choose their properties deserve nothing but the best – in design and quality. These are meant to be forever homes – for now, and for generations to come. Choosing a home in Shanti Condominiums delivers on that promise.
