Our recent family staycation at this Forbes 5-star rated property was a delightful escape that combined comfort, adventure, and relaxation—right in the heart of the city. Here’s how we made the most of our stay and created memories to last a lifetime.
Arriving at Okada Manila, we were immediately struck by the grandeur of the property. The welcoming staff made check-in a breeze, and soon we were escorted to our home for the next two days—a spacious deluxe twin room designed with families in mind, the room boasted plush beds, stylish features and furnishings, and windows that revealed stunning city views. We appreciated the thoughtful touches of a fully stocked minibar and a luxurious bathroom complete with a soaking tub, rain shower, and designer amenities. Settling in was easy; the room quickly felt like a home away from home.
The hotel offers a total of 1,001 rooms ranging from spacious 55-square-meter Deluxe Rooms to 1,400-square-meter Villas featuring breathtaking views of either Manila Bay or The Fountain.

Dining at Okada Manila is an experience in itself, and we were eager to explore its renowned restaurants. Our first stop was Goryeo, where Korean cuisine took center stage. The grill tables were a hit with my family, and we indulged in a feast of marinated meats and flavorful side dishes. The restaurant serves a variety of tasty banchan, high-quality meats for grilling, and classic dishes that highlight the unique flavors of Korea. The staff’s attentive service was commendable.
For dinner, we dined at Enbu, the hotel’s signature Japanese restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the elegant ambiance and the aroma of its specialties. Each dish, from the expertly prepared sushi to the tender robatayaki, was a celebration of authentic flavors.
Enbu’s robata counters are both stylish and welcoming, drawing your attention as soon as you enter. Guests are invited to sit and watch skilled chefs use classic Japanese methods to slow-grill top-quality meats and local produce over charcoal. This creates dishes that are perfectly charred, full of flavor, and rich with smoky aromas. As you enjoy your meal, you can also take in views of The Fountain from your seat.
The next day, we had breakfast at Medley, Okada Manila’s buffet restaurant. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, perfect for families ready to start their day together. Medley is renowned for its impressive spread of international cuisines, featuring open kitchens and live cooking stations where chefs prepare fresh dishes before your eyes. From made-to-order omelets and fluffy pancakes to a tempting selection of pastries, sushi, taho, and Filipino favorites, there was something to satisfy every palate. The spacious layout, attentive staff, and kid-friendly options made breakfast a memorable and delicious experience for everyone.
A soothing foot massage at Sole Retreat
After all the excitement, a little pampering was in order. We headed to Sole Retreat, Okada Manila’s premier wellness spa, for a soothing foot massage. The tranquil atmosphere and skilled therapists provided the perfect respite for tired feet—especially after hours spent exploring the resort. The spa experience left us all refreshed and rejuvenated.
A glimpse into the world of VIP comfort
One of the highlights of our staycation was the chance to tour some of Okada Manila’s most exclusive accommodations. First, we explored the Celebrity Suite—a haven of luxury with its expansive living spaces, opulent décor, and breathtaking views. The suite’s private entertainment area and lavish amenities gave us a glimpse into the world of VIP comfort. The tour continued at Villa Cebu, where we marveled at the villa’s private pool, lush garden, and spacious quarters perfect for larger families or gatherings. Each room showcased Okada Manila’s dedication to providing comfort and style.
Family fun at Thrillscape
Beyond our room and the restaurants, Okada offered plenty of opportunities for family fun. Thrillscape is an adventure zone with obstacle courses and climbing challenges designed for family bonding and excitement. Designed to make play and exercise more enjoyable, Thrillscape highlights Okada Manila’s commitment to creating memorable experiences for guests. The arena can host up to 120 people at a time and offers a variety of activities. Coaches are always present to keep things safe and help everyone have fun.
The outdoor swimming pools, entertainment venues, and shopping boutiques kept everyone entertained, while the attentive staff ensured every experience was seamless. Whether we were discovering new flavors, or simply enjoying each other’s company in our deluxe room, every moment felt special.
Our mobility around Okada was greatly enhanced by the convenient golf cart service, which quickly transported guests to various locations within a short time.
