Island Serenity Redefined: Discovering the Private Charms of Belmont Hotel Boracay

Our time at Belmont Hotel Boracay was marked by comfort, privacy, and top-notch service. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful retreat or a base for island adventures, Belmont delivers an unforgettable Boracay escape.

Our recent trip to Boracay was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks largely to our stay at the Belmont Hotel Boracay, nestled within the serene Boracay Newcoast. From seamless airport transfers to the inviting private beach, every detail contributed to a relaxing and memorable getaway.

Seamless Transfers and Warm Welcome

Our journey began with a smooth transfer arranged by the Belmont Hotel. Upon landing at Caticlan Airport, a courteous hotel staff greeted us, handling everything from luggage to terminal transfers. We were ushered onto a comfortable shuttle and then a boat, skipping the usual crowds. This efficient arrangement meant we arrived at the hotel refreshed and ready to enjoy our holiday, without the stress that sometimes comes with island travel.

Sitting pretty in the hotel lobby’s Christmas Tree.

Upon arrival at Belmont, the hospitality became instantly apparent. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and a refreshing welcome drink. The check-in process was swift and hassle-free, setting the tone for the rest of our stay.

Modern Comforts and Thoughtful Amenities

Our room was a cozy haven, tastefully decorated with modern furnishings and a balcony overlooking the pool and lush gardens. The beds were plush, ensuring restful sleep each night. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches—complimentary water, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a smart TV for winding down after a day at the beach.

Belmont’s amenities cater to every type of traveler. The outdoor swimming pool was a favorite spot, perfect for a morning dip or a lazy afternoon under the sun. For those seeking rejuvenation, the hotel spa offered a range of massages and treatments. Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the well-equipped gym, while business travelers can utilize the meeting rooms and business center.

One of the highlights was the hotel’s private stretch of beach at Boracay Newcoast. Unlike the bustling main beaches, Belmont’s beach was tranquil and uncrowded, providing a sense of exclusivity. We enjoyed lounging on the sunbeds, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and sipping cocktails from the beach bar. The privacy made it easy to unwind, away from the usual tourist crowds.

The Boracay Keyhole tour, is a unique experience that our family enjoyed. Located just a short walk or shuttle ride from the Belmont Hotel, the Keyhole is a striking natural rock formation with a dramatic opening carved by the sea. Standing before it, we were awed by the sheer size and rugged beauty of the limestone cliffs, with waves crashing through the archway and the endless blue of the ocean beyond. The site is not only a fantastic photo spot—especially at sunrise when golden light streams through the opening—but also a place to marvel at nature’s artistry, making the visit both fun and meaningful. It was a memorable family outing that added a touch of adventure and wonder to our Boracay getaway.

Culinary Delights at Belmont Cafe

Food at the Belmont Café was a treat for the senses. The main restaurant served a diverse breakfast buffet, featuring Filipino favorites alongside continental options. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared, using fresh local ingredients. For lunch, we indulged in Filipino cuisine, each plate beautifully presented.

Exceptional Service and Hospitality

Throughout our stay, the staff at Belmont went above and beyond. From recommending the best spots for sunset views, their local knowledge enriched our experience. Housekeeping was meticulous, ensuring our room was always spotless. Even small requests, like shuttle service schedules from the hotel to D’ Mall Station 2, and back, were met with promptness and genuine hospitality.

Seamless airport transfers . . .

Departure was as smooth as our arrival, with the hotel managing our transfer back to the airport. The thoughtful service continued until the very last moment, making it hard to say goodbye.

Tips and Recommendations for Future Guests

For those planning a stay at Belmont Hotel Boracay, here are a few recommendations:

  • Take advantage of the hotel’s transfer services for a hassle-free arrival and departure.
  • Reserve a room with a balcony for the best views and a peaceful spot to enjoy your morning.

A Magical Cirque Christmas at John Hay Hotels

Experience wonder, whimsy, and the Spirit of Renewal in the Christmas Capital of the Philippines.

This holiday season, John Hay Hotels invites everyone to a celebration like no other as the iconic mountain retreat transforms into a world of wonder with A Magical Cirque Christmas, ongoing until January 15, 2026. This spectacular festivity brings joy, enchantment, and renewed hope to Baguio City’s beloved highlands.

A Magical Christmas at John Hay Hotels.

Long known as the Summer Capital, Baguio now shines even brighter as the Christmas Capital of the Philippines, where pine-scented breezes, cool crisp air, and shimmering lights create the perfect setting for cherished holiday memories. Under the refreshed leadership with Landco Lifestyle Ventures (LLV), John Hay Hotels ushers in a new era of warmth, community, and holiday magic: symbolized by this year’s Grand Christmas Tree Lighting recently held at the Garden Wing and Forest Wing, respectively, a celebration of hope, renewal, and togetherness.

Landco President and CEO Erickson Y. Manzano at the John Hay Hotels Christmas Tree Lighting.

“We love Christmas, it’s a special time for reflection and for bringing together family and loved ones to reconnect and share joy. Life can get overwhelming, and everyone is carrying something we may not see. But when you step into John Hay Hotels, let us welcome you, take care of you, and make you feel at home. Our hope is that the beautiful moments you create here become part of your fondest holiday memories, and that you experience the true magic of Christmas in the highlands,” stated Landco Pacific Corporation and Landco Lifestyle Ventures President and CEO Erickson Y. Manzano.

A Symbol of Hope and Renewal: The Grand Tree Lighting

The season’s highlight is the Grand Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 21, illuminating the highlands with warmth and wonder. More than a dazzling spectacle, this year’s lighting symbolizes John Hay Hotels’ renewed vision under LLV, a commitment to revitalizing heritage destinations, uplifting local communities, and crafting meaningful experiences for generations to come.

John Hay Hotels Holiday Wonderland

This year’s festivities span across John Hay Hotels’ two storied wings: the Garden Wing (formerly The Manor), the Forest Wing (formerly The Forest Lodge) and John Hay Convention Center, harmonized under one magical holiday experience that blends highland charm, festive fantasy, and heartfelt traditions.

At the Garden Wing: A Magical Cirque Christmas

Guests can immerse themselves in a dreamlike holiday escape at the Garden Wing, from mesmerizing light shows and whimsical cirque performances to enchanting evenings that transform the highlands into a winter fantasy.

Cozy bonfires invite warm conversations, while outdoor movie nights and curated food booths offer comforting flavors perfect for the season. Carnival attractions bring childlike joy to every corner, with daily circus booths, a classic merry-go-round, and themed performances adding a touch of playfulness and magic. Whether with family, a special someone, or a group of friends, every moment at The Garden Wing feels like a scene from a Christmas story brought to life.

At the Forest Wing, the Christmas Carnival Spectacle

Revelers are invited to step into a world of whimsy and festive delight, running daily from 11 AM to 10 PM. The holiday spirit comes alive through a vibrant lineup of activities, including holiday harmonies and acoustic nights, cheerful encounters with Santa’s elves and moments with Santa, and cherished traditions such as Simbang Gabi, Misa de Gallo, and Misa de Año Nuevo.

Guests can also unwind during sunset chill-out sessions at the Helipad Summit Garden, enjoy the Christmas Eve Cocktail Party, explore the Christmas Day Carnival Market with exciting giveaways, feast at the New Year’s Eve Dinner and join the lively Countdown, and welcome the new year with the festive Parade of the Three Kings.

Inspired by the Cordillera’s beloved Dap-ayan, where stories are shared and community thrives, the Dap-ayan Spirits is a signature holiday cocktail crafted with Sagada Gin, Tapuy, and a hint of Etag for that smoky, soulful mountain character. More than a drink, it’s a festive toast to heritage, warmth, and togetherness. Enjoy Dap-ayan Spirits exclusively at St. Patrick’s Bar at the Forest Wing.

Holiday Market

The Christmas spirit comes alive with a vibrant holiday market that brings together the heart and soul of the Cordillera. Local artisans, producers, and craftsmen showcase their rich heritage through woven textiles, woodcarvings, hand-beaded jewelry, and farm-fresh delicacies. Guests can also discover the bounty of the highlands, from freshly harvested strawberries and crisp vegetables to succulent fruits and homemade jams, all sourced directly from local farmers.

This curated pop-up market transforms the Garden and Forest Wing into a cozy marketplace, a place to wander, connect with the community, and bring home a little piece of the Cordilleras. It’s more than shopping; it’s a celebration of culture, craftsmanship, and the flavors of the season.

A New Chapter Under LLV

Radisson Hotel Group has signed three new properties in the Philippines, with SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation strengthening its presence in Metro Manila and Greater Manila and reinforcing the country’s role in the Group’s growth strategy. The signings introduce a dual-branded complex at the SM Mall of Asia and add a new hotel in Santa Rosa’s Park Inn by Radisson SM City Sta. Rosa development.

Manila / Brussels – This year, Radisson Hotel Group celebrates 15 years in the Philippines, following the opening of Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu as the Group’s first operating hotel in the country. One hotel has grown into a diversified portfolio of six hotels in operation with 1,436 keys, and fifteen more under development, adding a further 3,090 keys.

Ms. Peggy Angeles, SM Hotels & Conventions Corporation Executive Vice President said; “As SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation (SMHCC) continues to expand its footprint in key growth areas across the Philippines, these three upcoming hotels reflect our commitment to elevating the country’s hospitality landscape through meaningful, future-ready developments. “SM Mall of Asia and Santa Rosa are high-conviction locations that match our brand ladder and our owners’ ambitions. The dual brand will serve large-scale events and corporate demand while giving leisure travelers more choice, and Santa Rosa adds depth to our Greater Manila strategy with a mixed-use address that is set to grow,” said Ramzy Fenianos, Chief Development Officer, Asia Pacific, Radisson Hotel Group. “We are proud to expand with our trusted partner SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation SMHCC) in the Philippines, a market where we see sustained demand across segments and real momentum for quality conversions and new builds.”

A Weekend to Remember: Celebrating Family and Festivity at Park Inn by Radisson Clark

Guests came together to celebrate 10 years of great service, and the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony in the hotel lobby – a moment of shared joy, a reminder of the magic that the holiday season brings.

Last weekend, my family and I went on a staycation at Park Inn by Radisson Clark, a hotel that felt more like a celebration of family, joy, and togetherness than just a place to stay. Park Inn is in a great spot, just steps from SM City Clark and the SMX Convention Center, so it’s both comfortable and convenient. Right from the start, we felt welcomed by the warm atmosphere and the friendly staff, who greeted us with genuine smiles. Our room was modern and cozy, with thoughtful touches for families and a beautiful view of the city lights.

Modern and cozy room for a family of three.

What made this staycation even more special was that it happened during Park Inn by Radisson Clark’s 10th anniversary celebration. There was a real sense of excitement as guests came together to celebrate 10 years of great service. That night, the hotel was decorated for the occasion, the smell of fresh food filled the air, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Celebratory toast!

What truly set this weekend apart was the feeling of community and celebration. The 10th anniversary festivities were heartfelt, with speeches from Ms. Peggy Angeles, Executive Vice President of SM Hotels & Convention Corp. (SMHCC), Atty. Agnes Devanadera, President and CEO of Clark Development Corporation (CDC), Mayor Gerald “Geld” Aquino of Mabalacat, Pampanga, and Mr. Lorenzo Tang, General Manager of Park Inn by Radisson Clark. The milestone celebration was graced by Ms. Elizabeth Sy, the president of SMHCC. The hotel management and staff, lively performances, and a delightful spread of food completed the celebration.

Stunning performances!

Another highlight of our weekend was the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony in the hotel lobby. It was more than just a display of lights; it was a moment of shared joy, a reminder of the magic that the holiday season brings.

Celebrating the joy of the season as a family.

Throughout our stay, we took full advantage of the hotel’s proximity to SM City Clark. We enjoyed a leisurely stroll to the mall, indulging in some shopping and sampling local delicacies at the food court. For those seeking business or event venues, the SMX Convention Center is conveniently nearby, making Park Inn an ideal choice for both leisure and work.

Excellent dining experience at Hues restaurant located in the ground floor of the hotel.

As we checked out on Sunday, my family agreed that Park Inn by Radisson Clark had given us more than just a place to rest. It had offered us memories, joy, and a sense of belonging. Our staycation was a beautiful reminder that sometimes, the best adventures are found not far from home, but in the company of loved ones and friends, surrounded by warmth and celebration.

United Nations Confers SM Hotels’ Iconic Property in Tagaytay as a Community Peace Center and Global Citizens Hub

In a landmark celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the United Nations this year, Taal Vista Hotel—one of the Philippines’ most iconic heritage icons—was conferred as a UN Peace Center and Global Citizens Hub, solidifying its role as a beacon for culture, sustainability, and community-based peace initiatives.

The conferment on October 21, led by the United Nations Association of the Philippines (UNAP), a civic partner of the UN, which was founded to promote peace, education, and diplomacy, and the United Network of Global Citizens (UNGC), in partnership with SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation (SMHCC), carries the theme “Building the Future Together.”

In her welcome message, Ms. Cathy Nepomuceno, SMHCC Senior Vice President said, “As a company rooted in the principles of sustainability, inclusivity, and nation-building, SM Hotels & Conventions Corporation stands in solidarity with the vision and values championed by the United Nations. We take great pride in Taal Vista Hotel’s legacy, which now serves as a hub for meaningful dialogue, education, collaboration, and purposeful action.”

Peace Center in a Filipino heritage landmark

“By anchoring a Peace Center in a Filipino heritage landmark like Taal Vista, we declare that peace is not built in conference halls alone—it begins where history, culture, and community meet. UN’s sustainable goals are not just policies; they are a living promise to humanity,” UNGC Founder and President Jenny Pearl Ninalga stressed during the event.

Mr. Roderick “Ric” Cruz, Global President, United Nations Association of the Philippines (UNA Phils), spearheaded the formal turn over and raising of the UN flag during the conferment rites.

He reminded the audience that “a UN Flag hoisted on our soil reminds us of our collective commitment to peace — because no matter which country we come from, we are united under one flag, the flag of the United Nations.”

“The hoisting of the United Nations Flag today is more than ceremony — it is a declaration of shared purpose — the Philippines, being one of the original signatories of the UN Charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights,” he said.

Cruz further noted that “a UN Flag gives weight to the place where it is hoisted — and when we name a ballroom or a hall as a Peace Center, we do not just assign a title, we give meaning and mission to that space.”

In her acceptance speech, Ms. Brenda Cabuyao, Director of Operations, Taal Vista Hotel Director of Operations, Taal Vista Hotel, said: “We envision Taal Vista Hotel as a place where meaningful conversations are sparked, where culture and community find harmony, and where every guest is reminded that peace is not just an aspiration—it is an action, lived and shared.”

“As we accept this conferment, we are inspired to continue creating spaces that uplift, connect, and empower. May this milestone remind us all that each of us holds a part in shaping a world that is more compassionate, collaborative, and at peace,” she added.

Meanwhile, the Department of Tourism, through Regional Director Marites Castro (Region IV-A Calabarzon), commended the efforts of UNGC to foster global citizenship through education, dialogue, and community empowerment.

“These ideals resonate deeply with our mission in the tourism sector—to build bridges among peoples, celebrate diversity, and nurture a culture of respect and inclusivity,” she said.

The event also featured the UN Flag Raising Ceremony, the Peace Pledge, and a symbolic unity gathering with UNAP, UNGC, SMHCC and distinguished delegates, all joining hands in the spirit of peace and global collaboration.
