With 2022 fast approaching, we cannot wait for another blank slate to fill our memories and goals in. The New Year presents another chance for us to live and cherish life in its majestic glory.
The year 2022 is considered the Year of the Water Tiger, whose braveness embodies the people’s fierce outlook for the year ahead.
To fully appreciate the essence of the New Year, writing your resolutions is just the perfect thing to do. Here are some resolutions that will work wonders for you!
1. Get a hair makeover.
Welcoming the New Year will not be complete without a new haircut! It’s time to snip all your past worries and troubles away by cutting your hair to the hairstyles that are predicted to be trendy in 2022. Hair gurus predict that bobs will be the next big thing next year, accentuating people’s desire for a more carefree life armed with a light and breezy hairstyle. Make an appointment at your trusted salon and say hello to a brand new you.
2. Revamp your closet.
Of course, a makeover is not complete without the right clothes. The 2022’s color of the year is Very Peri, a periwinkle blue fused with violet and red undertones that convey a feeling of excitement and anticipation. Picking out clothes that mix and match this color will emphasize your vision and goals for 2022, as well as flaunt your great style.
3. Strive to be more informed.
The next Philippine Presidential election will be occurring on the second Monday of May 2022, which has been one of the most anticipated events of the year. It’s our social responsibility and democratic right to vote and to do so, we must strive to keep informed of our candidates as well as their platforms and affiliations. We can read the news every day, keep ourselves updated on recent happenings, and stay critical at all times.
4. Try to watch at least one movie per month.
We must always remind ourselves to relax once in a while, and watching a movie will help you ease your stress. In 2022, there will be a variety of movie releases—most of them sequels to your favorite movies and franchises! Among the most awaited are the film adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile; the film adaptation of the video game, Uncharted; and the highly-anticipated addition to the Marvel cinematic universe, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Surely enough, the cinemas will be occupied this coming year.
5. Try a new sport.
Taking care of your body and working out regularly will help you face 2022 with enough physical strength and endurance. Learning a new sport will help you jumpstart your body and slowly pave the way to a healthier lifestyle. The Summer and Winter Olympics will be held in Beijing in 2022, and knowing the ins and outs of a sport will help join the hype, as well as for your physical well-being!
6. Donate regularly to a cause or charity of your choice.
It has been common knowledge that the Philippines is an extremely calamity-prone country, and the recent Typhoon Odette has still left people homeless and displaced. This New Year, you can help them rebuild and regain their former lives before the tragedy. You can pick an organization that seeks to help the typhoon victims and donate any amount that you can. Your money will surely be spent on a good cause.
7. Organize your days with a trusty planner.
In 2022, most schools and universities will be resuming their face-to-face classes. If you are a student or a professor, chances are that your schedule will be jam-packed and your tasks overflowing. Having a physical or digital planner by your side will be a lifesaver. This way, you can organize your days and manage your tasks well, increasing your drive and productivity.
Since it is the Year of the Water Tiger, try to be brave in making your New Year’s resolutions and try to stick to them. In 2022, your resolutions will be your roadmap to reaching your full potential and growing holistically in this new chapter of your life. Follow them and accomplish them all!
