Easy-to-prepare meat-free favorites

The vegetarian line provides another option for non-meat consumers or those who are just looking to incorporate more plant-based meals into their diet.

Having a household member who has adopted a vegetarian diet for more than a decade now, our food choices are mostly plant-based and a combination of fresh and healthy ingredients. It comes as a piece of good news when we discovered recently an innovative new line of delicious, meat-free food meals. We have tried two of its variants and we are planning to try the other three variants in the coming days.

Launched just last year, Veega is San Miguel Foods’ first vegetarian line. It offers a wide range of high-fiber, plant-based, protein offerings that can be incorporated in a wide variety of meals, including well-loved Filipino dishes, or even your usual recipes.

Veega comes in five variants: meat-free balls, burger patties, sausages, giniling, and nuggets. They are already fully-cooked and seasoned. Produced locally by San Miguel Foods, Veega makes use of wheat, soy, mushroom, and egg, with no added preservatives.

San Miguel Foods spent three years studying and developing the perfect formula for these plant-based products to fit the Filipino palate and to guarantee that the taste is closer to meat versions in terms of taste, texture, and even juiciness.

The company has always strived to provide customers with a wide array of food choices so that home cooks can cook with ease, whether it’s tried-and-true recipes or new discoveries the whole family can enjoy.

Whether you are a long-time vegetarian or are just looking to incorporate more plant-based meals in your diet, there is something for you in Veega’s line of meat-free products.

Veega products are priced between P99 to P120 per pack and available in leading supermarkets, San Miguel’s The Mall, Lazada, and Shopee.
